A recent family photo shoot at home. Although I often encourage families to meet me in the park, and not bother making their homes photoshoot- ready, it’s quite a different story when you have a baby starting to crawl who doesn’t want to be carried the whole time. So on this occasion, photographing in their wonderful light filled home was definitely the best option, and as the predicted rain did not appear, we were able to be outside in the garden as well. It is also a real bonus when you get to photograph the children playing with much loved toys in the family home – these little details in photographs are often very precious in years to come. Even more so since the last time I visited was mid pandemic and I had to keep my distance as they posed on the doorstep. And yes, of course we recreated that shot four years on, especially as they now have another beautiful daughter.
