Those last little drops of summer are best squeezed out when spent outside, in nature, with the people we love, doing not very much.
It’s always a joy to photograph young families, especially now that my children are older, so felt particularly lucky to spend a happy half hour with this trio of children in De Beauvoir Square, east London.
Thankfully we managed to dodge the heavy rain showers that were forecast, and once the clouds parted, the colours were more vivid than ever. The last bursts of seasonal colour from the rose bushes were peeking through, complimenting big smiles and playful moments.
It was a shorter session than usual, but still we ended up with a wonderful selection of relaxed, natural and joyful shots that will be treasured forever.
