COVID 19 POLICY:
In current times, I will keep a close eye on government guidelines and act accordingly, eg. Sticking to the rule of 6 for family groups, and wearing a mask when indoors. For this reason, outdoor shoots are best for maintaining social distance.
1. How does a family session work?
A family session is a relaxed event that takes about an hour, either in home or out on location. My main aim is for you all to play together so I can capture you at your natural best. There will be some direction for those all important group family photos. Don’t worry about cajoling the kids to listen to the lady or smile for the camera. I will create a fun atmosphere and ensure that they feel like the stars of the show.
2. What should we wear?
Do think about clothing and the location you’re going to be in. This is no fashion shoot, but it does help if you think a little about how the outfits will work together. You don’t want to put the kids in their very best outfits if Dad is looking scruffy in jeans and t shirts. LIkewise, think about colours and the setting. Rich colours and plenty of warm knits look fantastic on an autumn day, and I always encourage you to discard coats, so think about layering up if it’s chilly .
3. Are digital images included in the session fee?
The session fee is £ 125 on a weekday or £ 150 on the weekday and just covers the session. Any prints, frames, photobooks or digital images can be ordered when you view the photos.
4. Do you photograph newborns?
Yes, I love to photograph newborns. As with my family sessions, my style is very natural. There is no fancy posing or props. I just want to capture the magic of the early days with some sensitive close ups and memorable photos of the tiny bundle in parents’ arms. Slightly longer is needed for these sessions, but the fee is the same.
5. What if my children are ill?
I totally understand if you need to cancel or postpone the session due to illness, but please tell me as soon as you can. I will try to fill the slot, but if it’s less than a week’s notice I will be unable to offer a refund
6. Do you hold onto the files?
Yes, for 12 months.
7. Do you share photos online
Yes, I’d like to share your photos on my website, Facebook and Instagram. This can be anonymous or tagged. Please specify if you’d rather keep your images private. I always doublecheck before I do this!
8. How do we view the photos?
Where possible, I show you on my laptop a week after the shoot. I also show you different print sizes, photo book and frame samples to help you place your order. I encourage everyone to order at the viewing. In order to maintain social distancing, these viewings are taking place over zoom. If you can’t make up your mind, I can share an online gallery with you, but I will ask for a deposit of 50% of the order.
